You will have an amazing time, meet some fantastic new photography friends, and be more confident in your photographic workflow and image processing skills.

Before the retreat, I’ll schedule an online one-hour session to review the itinerary, discuss what gear is needed, review some of your photos, and answer any questions that you might have.

The workshop is based and starts at one of the Joshua Tree National Park campsites. Why me?

I have a passion for the outdoors, hiking, and photography. For me, photography is about the overall experience and isn't just about the gear or capturing the image. My approach is to explore, experience, and create. I will help you discover new places and improve your photography at the same time.

Testimonials

“Our 3-day camping/photography workshop was wonderful. Jon provided excellent instruction to help make our photos special. He reviewed focus stacking, HDR, astrophotography, and panoramas. We hiked in remote areas of the park, away from other people. The campsite was pristine, scenic, and private. I highly recommend this workshop!“ - Gail M.

“I participated in a 3-day photography event with Jon Norris. It was amazing, and he was absolutely incredible, answering all of my questions in many different areas of photography. Jon has complete knowledge that is in-depth, and he really takes the time to ensure that you understand everything that he is teaching. I highly recommend joining Jon in one of his workshops.” - Eric F.
